OSP Field Engineer Job Description

Must have experience designing outside-plant fiber networks and securing associated public ROW permits for fiber optic network construction.  We are looking for experienced Outside Plant Permitting Engineers for an assignment in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area.

Primary responsibilities include design and completion of construction plans and permitting applications for new construction of fiber-optic facilities.   Experience securing Municipal Permits, Bore Profiles, Bridge Attachment Permits, and DOT Permits in the is required.  The ideal candidates will have extensive experience and relationships within the build area and a fundamental knowledge of OSP design and construction. Knowledge of RUS units and AutoCAD a plus. 

Travel and relocation expenses will not be covered therefore local candidates are preferred. 
Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience with OSP design and associated public ROW permits for outside plant fiber-optic networks required
  • HS Diploma, Technical Associates Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Proficiency securing Municipal, Bore, Bridge, and DOT permits required
  • Experience drafting and RUS construction units desired
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and general PC computing skills desired (project management, AutoCAD, OSP FM, EWO, spreadsheet, database, etc.)
