Job Description

User and Group management includes User Creation, Deletion, Permissions, Group creation, and deletion.
Understanding the file access permissions. Install, upgrade, delete and query packages on the system.
Installing & Configuration Splunk on Linux/AIX/Windows.
Day-to-day operational support and maintenance of Linux servers.
Installing & Configuration of Nagios for monitoring the servers.
Monitoring Disk space, Processor Utilization, and Network Utilization.
Configuring and upgrading applications.
Assigning the LUNs from the storage and configuring the LVMs.
Patching through automation in Linux and Solaris through HP server automation.
Managing Swap partitions, adding/removing swap partitions.
Scheduling of automatic repetitive Jobs with Crontab.
Exposure in working in Remedy, Service now ticketing tools and HPSC.
Working and creating Incident, service request and Change Management via ticketing tool.
Knowledge about health check on Linux servers.
System services and run level Management.
To notify the Team leader of any issues which remain unresolved and ensure that they are highlighted within the SLA’s.
Receive no customer complaints due to attitude or lack of feedback.
Attended calls related to customer queries and complaints.
Participate in team meetings.
