Job Description

Tasks:
– This job typically involves assisting with tests or experiments, recording results, keeping logs and sorting through materials used in laboratory processes. You may also assemble various types of laboratory equipment, sterilizing them when necessary. Your duties may include cleaning and organizing a lab, preparing samples and microscope slides, and ensuring that equipment and chemicals are readily available. In addition, you may use and operate microscopes, machinery, meters, filters and pumps as part of this job.

Skills:
– the ability to analyze and pay attention to detail as well as organizational skills
– manual dexterity and good eyesight
– understand measurements and basic mathematical calculations
– computer skills are critical to this job
– Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and keep records of the tasks you perform.
