Job Description

Responsibilities:
• The candidate will develop and maintain various WordPress websites, including themes and plugins.
• Build fully functional responsive WordPress websites based on business requirements and strict specifications
• Respond to, isolate and resolve programming problems.
• Follow specification or written description
• Meeting productivity standards, completion of work in timely manner
• Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with co-workers

Required Skills and Experience:
• Graduate from a top university
• Fresh Grads are encouraged to apply
• Knowledgeable with Adobe Photoshop
• The ideal candidate will have expertise creating custom responsive WordPress themes, plug-ins, and widgets from scratch
• Deep understanding of WordPress, including theming and plug-in creation, custom content types, and site management
• Extensive knowledge of modifying existing theme templates (support, extend and/or enhance existing code)
• Aware of WordPress security pitfalls and follow best practices to ensure tight security
• Experience writing custom PHP scripts and SQL queries for MySQL
• Familiarity in applying client-side and server-side web performance optimization techniques
• PHP 5.3+ OOP, Design patterns
• MySQL 5.1+
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery is a plus
• Good English language
• Professional experience with open source platforms like Drupal and Magento and Cake is a plus
• Knowledgeable with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest) API integration is a plus
