Full-Time Perl Developer

Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perl/PHP/MySQL Development – you should be very skilled at development

and be able to quickly dig in and understand our complicated platform

• Subversion Management – once you confirm code is ready to move out of

development, you will move it to our test environment and then manage

our weekly to bi-weekly code updates (which must be done after hours)

• Server Management – you will need to be proficient at Linux command line

• Platform Optimization – as we grow it will be crucial that you

continuously optimize our platform to be able to do more while taking

less server and DB resources

• Infrastructure Upgrade – you will be asked to make crucial decisions

about how we can re-write existing parts of our platform to run better

and be more streamlined and determine the best way to add new pieces to

our platform

• Telephony Data Management – you will be asked to integrate/maintain

CDR data from the following telephony platforms: Broadworks, Sansay,

Sonus, Nextone and others.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Advanced Perl/PHP

• Advanced MySQL

• Javascript (JQuery) is a plus

• Experience with Unix/Linux and fluent in command-line operation

• Experience with Object Oriented Design methodologies

• Experience with Subversion

• Experience with Telephone Systems Call Detail Records (SMDR/CDR) is a

plus

• Ability to work independently
