PlaNt Manager

National privately held mining and construction firm in the U.S. 

Located in Nashville, TN

DESCRIPTION

The plant manager will report to the Central Director of Plants, direct mine and pit planning and assist in budgeting and forecasting.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proficiently oversee production and sales of roughly 500,000+ TPY operation

• Guarantee pit and mine activities are accomplished to plan qualifications

• Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings

• Recognize shortages and implement ideas for continuous perfection

• Efficiently manage staff by setting performance goals, providing regular feedback and development

• Validate compliance with all Business and Legislative policies and guidelines

• Ensure communication staff and on-site asphalt plants

• Ensure developments for quality product manufacture

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, or similar is preferred

• 5 years of experience in operations and engineering and aggregate processing procedures and surface quarrying.

• Familiarity of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus.

• Understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Compliance in MSHA safety standards and established safety record
