Job Description

Very busy high volume Bareburger locations in Edgewater, Montclair and soon to open Closter looking for hands on General Managers.
GMs will provide guidance, instruction, direction & leadership to the Bareburger Team for the purpose of achieving the Bareburger Mission. The GMs will report to and is responsible for working with the owner or District Manager to supervise the day-to-day operations of the Bareburger Restaurant. Looking for self-motivated and team oriented person to cultivate the culture of the restaurant.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of management experience at a previous restaurant.
If you are looking for a fast passed, high volume challenging experience this job is for you. There is also possibility to grow to regional manager position.

Responsibilities include:
• Can perform all duties in the Bareburger Restaurant.
• Is responsible for quality leadership in Bareburger promoting positive employee morale. Leads by example.
• Interviewing potential employees and releasing employees who do not meet the quality of hospitality that Bareburger guests are accustomed to.
• Able to run Bareburger both front & back-of-house.
• Performs line checks.
• Handles guest problems or complaints.
• Is responsible for delegating responsibilities & duties to staff.
• Is responsible for ordering & receiving inventory.
• Ensure proper portioning.
• Is able to train staff on all positions.
• Ensures menu items are prepared properly.
• Monitors quality of food & maintains high standards of guest service.
• Delivers quality guest service & monitors the level of service throughout Bareburger.
• Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene & appearance.
• Received Food Handlers Certification.
• Adheres to health & safety & sanitation standards when handling food.
• Is able to lift 50 lbs.
• Follow & Enforce All Bareburger Guidelines, Practices & Standards
• Must excel at customer service
• Train staff to have superb customer service
• Make sure customers leave the restaurant happy
• Handle disgruntled customers by offering suggestions and solutions
• Handle employee issues such as tardiness, cell phones, language, attitude, dress code
• Facilitate FOH and BOH issues
• Control seating at peak times
