Job Description

Verigent, a telecommunications staffing firm, is in need of an AV Technicians to assist with mutliple positions and projects in the Greater LA area. 

 

Position 1:

AV Technician

Thousand Oaks

23-25/hr

2-3 weeks (40 hours+ per week)

  • Pulling and terminating cable

    • Installing controllers, interfaces, cameras, monitors

  •  Basic programming experience is helpful, but not necessary.

 

Position 2:

Lead AV Technician / Foreman

$25-35/hr

  • Management of installation crews
  • Providing Project Managers with daily and weekly status reports
  • Client interfacing as necessary
  • Solid experience in Commercial Audio Visual Installations will put you at the front of the preferred line
  • Projectors, screens, displays, wiring, cabling, computer controls, rack-building: The entire complete A/V equipment package
  • Basic understanding of input and outputs of each device for installation purposes
  • Have basic understanding of configuration of each system to include Network Connectivity along with basic understanding of Remote Controls of each device.
  • Have basic understanding of IP Networks is a plus
  • Must have Audio DSP programming experience
  • Experienced with products such as Bose, Polycom, ClearOne, DSP, AMX
  • Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment, know how to solder and crimp connections; lift
  • Have hands on experience with major brands of VTC to include Polycom, Cisco, and LifeSize
  • Programming Control Interfaces is a major plus
  • Industry certs preferred (CTS – Crestron – Extron – CEDIA)
