Job Description
CHRS is urgently looking for COBOL PROGRAMMER ANALYST
QUALIFICATIONS:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science/Information Systems or equivalent in relevant work experience.
– 1 years of previous programming/work related experience required. 3 years of previous programming/work related experience preferred.
– Depending upon position, programming expertise in one of the following skill sets:
CRS:
Recent JAVA/J2EE programming experience in multi-tier application software.
– Experience with Tomcat/Apache, Spring Framework, HML, Active MQ, and/or Maven preferred.
Sun Java Certification preferred.
– Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages and Unix environment preferred.
Understanding of various data format representations.
– When requested, COBOL experience required.
Or Access:
Knowledge of Access 2000/XP (including Data Access Objects (DAO), Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), and ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) database connectivity, Class Modules, Project Based Methodologies, and Program setup and deployment), Structured Query Language (SQL) Server 2000 (including Relational database design methodology, extensive SQL programming knowledge, stored procedures with Client access applications, cursors, triggers, transaction processing, Data Transformation Services, and Webpage from SQL Publishing), and Visual Basic 6.0 (including ActiveX objects, DAO, ODBC, and ADO database connectivity, class modules, and Program setup and deployment.
– Experience with Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) for Access.
Or SAS:
Experience with Statistical Analysis System (SAS) programming language required.
Experience with Total System Services (TSYS) data layouts and batch update processing preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft.NET, Sharepoint, and Delphi a plus.
Or .Net:
Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 required.
Expertise in C# and WinForms and ability to code Transact-SQL (T-SQL) stored procedures required.
Object oriented code development preferred and familiarity with source control and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) preferred.
Knowledge of Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET) and of web development technologies including but not limited to ASP.Net, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), Dynamic HTML (DHTML), Extensible Markup Language (XML), Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation (XSLT), and JavaScript a plus.
Or Sharepoint:
Experience in installation and setup of WSS2.0 & WSS3.0 on various environments required.
Experience with site administration, such as creating new/sub site, user management, restoration of old backups/versions, and troubleshooting issues required.
Knowledge of WSS2 to WSS3 Migration, including Migrating sites from WSS2.0 to WSS3.0 and interacting with business users and resolving any migration issues.
Knowledge of software development such as .Net Development – ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server 2005 & SharePoint API’s preferred.
Or FACS:
Knowledge of Ontario Systems Corporation’s CT Vision or ENABLE development environment a plus.
COBOL Programming experience required (MicroFocus Cobol).
VB 6.0, VB.Net, and JAVA knowledge preferred.
– Knowledge of dialer and telecom equipment.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL database and SQL Command Language preferred.
– Expert knowledge of UNIX Operating System and the VI Editor or equivalent.
XML experience preferred.
HTML, ASP coding knowledge preferred.
– Experience with C, UNIX Korn Shell, and AWK programming languages.
Writing reports within CT Vision environment and/or using Crystal Reports required.
Microsoft Office Product knowledge preferred (EXCEL, WORD, ACCESS)
Adobe Acrobat knowledge preferred.
Basic Perl knowledge required.
Or Reporting:
5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL, Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 including in-depth knowledge of the associated stored procedures, views, and functions.
– Experience performing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) layer architecture to transform and load data into database for end use.
– Experience with working legacy DTS, modifying and creating SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, modifying and creating SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, moving data to and from disparate source systems, Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) and database integrity concepts, and mid and large range database scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
– Knowledge and understanding of database backed, web application development concepts including legacy ASP, JavaScript, .NET C#, XML/XSLT and web development toolsets.
– Experience building software using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) preferred.
– Experience working with Crystal Reports 10.0 and/or Business Objects 3.1.
Or IVR:
1-2 years experience writing and deploying Aspect Unified IP IVR M3 script applications.
1-2 years experience writing T-SQL scripts using Microsoft SQL 2005.
– Knowledge of Aspect Unified IP system configuration, including: adding agents and services, managing voice recognition, telephony and PBX integration.
– Knowledge of Aspect Unified IP system design including: performance monitoring, capacity planning, real-time and historical reporting metrics.
– Knowledge of network and voice testing procedures and tools.
– Ability to understand and work within set deadlines.
– Ability to work with geographically disbursed team members.
– Exhibit strong attention to detail.
– Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

– Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
