Job Summary

The Peripherals system quality team is looking for a creative and motivated software engineer with excellent problem solving and communication skills. This is your chance to join a team in a key role that will help drive future Apple products. In this position, you will develop automation software and conduct end-to-end product tests working closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
Key Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a passion for product quality and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies along with a good instinct for discovering defects in software and hardware.
Current experience in software development is required, and previous roles in quality assurance and extensive knowledge of both manual and automated software test engineering is a plus.
5+ years experience as a software development and QA engineering
Good understanding of Mac OS X and testing methodologies
Strong C programming skills, knowledge of Swift, Objective-C and the OS X application framework is preferred
Self-motivated and have flexibility to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English
Experience with IO technologies, protocol stacks and computer accessories (USB, Thunderbolt devices)
Knowledge of test automation testing
Description

As part of our team of engineers in our Tokyo office, you will be involved in the design and development of various software programs targeted to improve our overall product quality. You will lead the definition, identification and creation of test software, test scripts and will work with a team to co-author test plans and test cases.
You will design, implement and execute test suites for compatibility of Apple and 3rd party devices. You will work closely with engineering and other cross-functional teams to prioritize, identify, reproduce, isolate issues, and drive resolution.

Education

BSEE/CS with good professional experience
